Hard Drives

We can handle drives where the data has been lost due to accidental deleting. It is important to stop using the drive otherwise the hard drive area where the deleted data resides could be over written and there’s no chance in retrieving it after that.

If the hard drive makes a faint beeping noise, it is likely the heads have stuck to the disc platter stopping the disc from rotating. This is a common problem with external hard drives when the drive has been incorrectly removed from the computer resulting in loss of power to the drive thus stopping the heads over the disc surface.

If the hard drive makes clicking noises, STOP using it as it will not improve. This repair is not something we can do but we recommend a company who can dismantle the drive and change parts in order to get your data back. Please contact us for details.

Flash drives

We get flash drives that have the USB section broken off. I most cases we can solder a temporary connection in order to retrieve the data and copy it to a new flash drive.

Camera memory cards

There’s nothing worse than taking hundreds of photographs and then after inserting your memory card into your computer you discover it cannot be read or the software wants to format the card. We have software that can scan the drive and recover the data.
